Julie Kosinski – Office Manager
Julie has been the office manager of Bay City Players for the past 10 years. She has a wide array of diverse duties and responsibilities which must be performed on a daily basis to keep the theatre running properly. She works for the Board of Directors, Committee Chairs, Operations Manager, Directors, and Producers of shows, making sure that communication and theatre happenings are listed on an online calendar that everyone can view to keep the theatre running smoothly. She sends out audition notifications, press releases, prepares reports for the monthly board meetings, prepares mailings, sets up performances online and enters and manages memberships, assists youth program directors by preparing any items that are requested, works in our box office taking ticket orders and filling patrons requests. Taking phone calls and listening attentively and addressing any questions or issues in a prompt and kind manner is an important part of her duties. Taking care of any issues with our season members is very important as well. During the daytime, she is the face of Bay City Players and makes anyone calling or visiting our theatre feel welcome and cared for.
Kathryn Pawloski- Operations Manager
Kathy is the operations manager at Bay City Players, a position she has held since January 2016. Since 1981 she has been an active volunteer at Players working in many capacities through those years from ushering and cloakroom to set decoration, acting and stage crew. She says she supports community theatre ”because it brings so many people together to create an awesome product. In each production we learn something, from the directors and from each other.”
Mike Prohaska – Custodian
Michael Prohaska has been the maintenance manager of Bay City Players for the past five years. It is his job and responsibility to clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the theater to ensure the cleanliest and safest environment for all our guest and those who use our building on a daily basis. He adds: “Having a well maintained facility plays a vital role in the theater and ensuring patrons are happy with their visit and will return which helps our theater to continue to prosper and draw more patrons to our theater.”
Having this responsibility takes dedication and pride as it can affect many other aspects of other business that is going on in the building.
Mike conducts daily, weekly monthly and yearly inspections throughout the building to make sure Players stay compliant with all codes which makes the theater run at its highest potential.
